Avenue Design Studios is a small web design and social media consulting firm. We specialize in developing interactive sites that leverage tools such as blogs, podcasts, Twitter and Facebook to communicate most effectively. Our online strategies are customized to each client’s target audience and goals.

John R. Carman, Principal

John founded Avenue Design in 2007, after working for several years as a freelance communication designer. In 2009, John incorporated AJAX Street, a software development company, along with co-founder S. Scott Connelly as part of the AlphaLab startup incubator program. By night, John occasionally takes his own advice and blogs on his personal site.

DJ G, Multimedia Producer

DJ G is our resident deejay and audio engineer. Before his career as a club disc jockey and host of the audio podcast The G Spod, DJ G had been a professional photographer. In 2007, John had the idea to combine G’s skills in photography and audio. DJ G is now also our resident video editor.

Jami L. Broom, Search Engine Marketing Expert

Jami owns Clicks Internet Marketing, a search engine marketing company that we partner with to provide our clients with search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising services. Jami has ten years experience implementing successful online marketing campaigns.

Alexis Foster, Marketing & PR Intern

Lexi is a senior in the Media and Professional Communications program at the University of Pittsburgh with a focus in Corporate and Community Relations. She is very focused on the needs of the client and desires of the consumer.
